Was always a huge fan of Voorhis... Wish he had panned out here... He's got 3.5 sacks already this year... Should be seeing him around a backfield a little on Saturday...

-> The Huskies are averaging 40 points per game, they rank 12th in passing yards nationally, 46th in rushing and 12th in total yards, all without a fumble or an interception. But in short-yardage situations with the game on the line the Huskies have come up short in back-to-back weeks

… There’s a lot more consistency on offense, but now we have to finish and have consistency as a team,” coach Jim Mora said Tuesday. “You’ve got to be able to get a dirty yard if you’re the running back and it’s a running play, or convert and execute a short throw and catch. It’s those little things that just get you. … You’ve just gotta keep drilling it. It’s repetition, it’s going out and it’s doing it over and over again. <-

-> Since the third quarter ended at Syracuse, the UConn defensive performance has been disheartening. The Huskies gave up touchdowns on each of Delaware’s first three possessions and allowed 512 total yards of offense. They never made a stop on three separate 4th-down chances and, again, hurt themselves with undisciplined mistakes down the stretch…

… The Huskies should have some assistance in the defensive secondary in the form of safety Malachi McLean, who was injured in the season-opener and missed the last two weeks. McLean was top 10 on the team in tackles last season with 44 and also had four passes defended. <-

Unless someone new is added to the RB list we've lost the only really shifty and evasive back on the team for what are viewed as the few tough games left on the schedule. Hoping we find a way to keep the running game an important piece of the offense.

I would like to see us give MJ Flowers some run, he looked pretty quick in the CCSU game. Finding ways to get Terrence Smith more touches as well could be good

I saw the line was UConn-21. How bad is Ball St? That a crazy big line for a team that just lost to Delaware.

But….they don’t put these lines out to lose money…I guess an objective person would evaluate UConn higher than the fans who just sat through two overtime defeats.

Line didn’t even move much after Mel Brown’s injury was confirmed either…

There’s this guy who posts how well teams play against their opponents on a down-to-down basis (“how badly did we get beat?”). UConn outperformed both Delaware AND Syracuse and lost mostly on “intangibles” (Cuse getting a few/random explosive plays, Delaware being gifted first downs due to penalties etc.)

UConn's O is much better than Ball State's; UConn's D is only slightly better.

On prior form, this looks to be a comfortable UConn win. The last spread I saw on ESPN was 21.5.

these betting lines are generous!
i'll rest when the whistle blows and we're on top, whether by 3 or by 30.

Ball State gets no better respect...they lost to a combined Purdue and Auburn 3-73...beat New Hampshire by 5.

UConn appears to be a much, much better team based on three games...scored 71 points in their games with Cuse and Delaware and went to OT in both games...
