Get a convincing big win and all is forgiven for last week

Wasn't there a lot of trepidation last year prior to the Buffalo game, with many here predicting a very difficult game and a possible Buffalo win? I'm not predicting a 40 point win like last year, but the pre-game consternation seems similar to me.

The mystery of Mel Brown's fourth quarter disappearance last Saturday may be solved today when we see the Delaware game two deep. Or maybe not (in the case that he is listed).

I am still perplexed on the decision not to give him the ball 2nd half.

But at the same time while I’ve posted often on the Syracuse game, I am ready to move on.

It was a loss.

It was dissapointing.

It was one we let get away. But it wasn’t as bad as what the Ravens did Sunday night.

17-6 wasn’t a commanding lead - yes we let it slip away but this isn’t one that other teams haven’t also done the same.

I am ready for a complete re-set vs Delaware. I hope the team, boneyarders are as well.

-> The Huskies and Blue Hens are familiar foes who haven't faced off since the 1998 season, when both schools competed at the FCS level. This will mark the 28th all-time meeting between the two schools, with Delaware holding a 20-7 lead. This is Delaware's first season at the FBS level and as a member of Conference-USA. Saturday's game marks the first of two matchups against C-USA this season for the Huskies, with the FIU Panthers coming to Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field on October 4. <-

UConn is 1-4 against opponents currently in Conference USA: 1-1 against FIU and 0-3 against Middle Tennessee, which it hasn’t played since 2021. The Huskies have two games against the C-USA this season in Delaware and at home against FIU in the first week of October. There are three future games against the league with 2027 matchups set against FIU, Liberty and Delaware in a return game. <-
