With the schedule that we play to come in at 111 it's not exactly accurate. I put us in last place.
 
Would have to assume that, from Buffalo's perspective, they will be very cautious with Roberson this week and not want to risk further injury so that he is available for the start of their in conference schedule.

He still loves to make plays on special teams, and has downed a punt on the 1-yard line this season.

So, it appears the coaches see players not doing their assignment. The somewhat logical conclusion is there isn't depth to put the offending player's arse on the bench and let next man up take the spot. If you have the talent on the next line of the depth chart you don't tolerate what the coaches are seeing.

i know nothing about the actual x's and o's of football, so I ask - is it possible the defense is too complicated for these kids? lots of times, "doing their own thing" can be a sign of confusion in the kid and due to decision paralysis... by the time he makes the choice, the play is already 15 yards past him.

Tough, rigid, hard-nose defensive play is an indication of a confident set of players who aren't over-thinking their roles.

i have no data, just curious about this.
 
Sad that Ta’Quan won’t play, was looking forward to the Roberson/Fagnano battle

Not sure how to judge Buffalo. They ran it up vs St Francis and Kent St, dropped games vs Minnesota and Troy. Averages out to them being a middle of the road offensive team but a pretty solid defensive team

Can’t win if you can’t score. Buffalo being only ok on offense and having to start their backup QB means they should struggle to score, our defense needs to turn it around and pounce on that. Keep their running game under control, don’t let the backup QB pick you apart, and let’s roll!
 
They were trailing Kent State the whole game. They pulled it out in the end. They will be much more emotional against us than Kent State. That said, stop the run game and force them into long yardage and we should win.
