Was thinking the same thing when looking at the depth chart. Damn. At least, also judging by the depth chart, Big Ben should be back too.Sounds like a no go for Saturday.

If there is one position we have depth in, it's TE. Hanson is more than capable, and Chirchi has been pushing all of them for snaps.Sounds like a no go for Saturday.
He gets one more game (this week or next) and then the bowl would be a freebie (Bowls don’t count towards eligibility)So the question begging to be asked: If Mel plays on Saturday, how many more field appearances does he have to preserve a redshirt year? Wouldn't this be game four?
I'm with you but they probably rise at 5 every day so I'm not sure 10 is a problem. They are traveling cross country and the game starts at 10 am their time. Hopefully they won't be awake enough to move bodies repeatedly!
Definitely an “option”. But I think you’d get flagged.
Another approach is to option the option. If you are the “read” for the QB. You continue down the line of scrimmage keeping the QB just inside your inside shoulder. This hopefully causes some indecision. The QB is trained to turn it up if the “read” bellies out or pitch if attacked. Any slight indecision allow your teammates to pursue.
It worked 50 years ago. Not sure it would work today.

Easy to root against on the football field. Easy to pull for on the battlefield.Looking forward to Saturday's game, I foresee a difficulty for the home crowd. We love the opponent. Gonna be tough to root against them.
I hope they can travel a bit early so that they can have tour of Pratt and Whitney.
Yeah, I don’t get this at all. Saturday is a football game, nothing more. I never boo an opponent when they come onto the field, and I’m not rooting against the other team’s players to get hurt or have bad lives. You’re allowed to respect players and still want your team to win and their team to loseLooking forward to Saturday's game, I foresee a difficulty for the home crowd. We love the opponent. Didn't say I didn't want my team to win, now did I counselor? Just can't seem to build up any antipathy like last Saturday. Accuracy in language is important, don't you think? Let's not be misconstruing things that are very plainly said.Yeah, I don’t get this at all. Saturday is a football game, nothing more. Did I say anything about rooting for? Just can't develop a level of antipathy like last Saturday.Easy to root against on the football field. Easy to pull for on the battlefield.
I agree with this as a general rule. I cheer both teams at all HS events. But I made an exception for Duke and their dirty play validated my instincts. Every other team does deserve a fair chance to feel welcome for a quick minute. Booing while distasteful, is more a message that we recognize you are coming into our house to take something from us. It is not a personal insult, or threat, or intent to injure anything but their morale. But FWIW I also don't believe in unconditional love and that respect is earned. Appreciate AFA making this trip and hope they have a great performance. Just not too great.This.
I make it a point never to boo college athletes (I've stressed this with my son from when he started attending games as a seven year old) and the only opponents that I will cheer when they hit the sidelines from the tunnel are the service academies. They've earned far more than just that in my eyes.
Ha! You don't know much about life in the Air Force. We're not talking about the Army, Navy, or Marines. It's the Air Force. Early morning means nothing to them.
I totally disagree. I cheer my head off for UConn and boo everyone else the moment the game starts until it ends. I'd boo them off the field too if I could find them.This.

So you're for the Randy Edsall mirroring approach to the option. Hmmmm.
I can't relate because I've never been an early riser......That may be, but they don't fly cross country and practice at 10 every day. Work with me here 😉
