I have to ask. Why is UCONN playing UCONN Davis? This is embarrassing for UCD and WCBB.

Because they needed another game on the west coast to go with the Stanford game and UC Davis was the school willing to play them. It isn't necessarily easy to get schools to play UCONN or to make schedules work.

Plus, it seems silly to go to California just for Stanford. I wish they could have played UCLA, but honestly, they would have won by 40 there.

UCD did come east last year, so I guess this is the return trip. UConn has two west coast trips this year I think.

You've been around here long enough to know the answer to that. Lots of teams will Not play us. He's tried to sched. tougher games but teams stay away in droves. The other poster was right. 1st game for many of these players, close to Stanford. Opening game after a long flight. I didn't see too many close games in the top 10 tonight anyway. Wait til conference play starts, it will continue be lop sided.

Probably the same reason that Baylor played #316 ranked Grambling last year, and at least UC Davis was around #150. Answer is, they're just desperate for a win any way they can get it.
