This game is a national treasure. Seriously. It was billed as the (worst) game of the century coming in and, somehow, has exceeded even my wildest expectations. We've had everything: muffed punts, dropped passes, missed extra points, ill-advised throws into coverage, missed tackles, all of the fumbles you could ever want (including two on one play!), and now a botched snap on a punt. As a long-time admirer of bad football, this is all so glorious. I genuinely can't wait to see which team one-up (or down) themselves in this fourth quarter. UConn so badly wants to hand SMU their first win but they will not take it. The immovable object against the unstoppable force!

Outstanding play calling.

This needs to me more than just better next year, more than a lot better, something closer to ridiculously better. If it weren't against the rules, bringing in a new 85 would be worth considering.

Puyol is having a great game.

Are we playing guys who haven't played this season? It looks like it.

At least this is the last quarter of the season. Making my eyes hurt.

Any fan sitting through this should get at least a $25 gift card for the Co-op.

My wife had the local sports station on in the car and just called to say the Pittsburgh hosts were making fun of this game and urging fans to tune in to witness the excitement for themselves.

The fans are even heading for the exits in the Game Thread.

Wow. I didn't think anything could make me smile right now.

:)

Diaco has zero faith in Boyle. Not that Boyle has given anyone any reason to have faith in him but this risk averse football is infuriating.

SMU matches UConn's hand with a punt malfunction and UConn raises them a blocked field goal! This gets better by the drive; just when I think they cannot possibly sink to lower levels of ineptitude, they prove me wrong.
