I got to watch Simmons play against Faris in High School. Simmons team only lost two games that year - 1 to Kelly's team and the state championship game. Kelly frustrated Simmons that entire game up to the point Simmons took a shot at her. It was nice to see Kelly help her up earlier in this game.

Hardly...the Marquette player looked to be moving across to give Caroline a bump to keep her from cutting across the lane...something we've seen very aggressively by the defenses we've faced. (In fact we had a rather long dissertation about Breanna's problems cutting against Stanford). What I'm suggesting is what Caroline did was throw an elbow...probably too aggressively...to ward off the contact...a rather instinctive move in the soccer world where just such tactics are routinely employed. She was lucky not to be called for the foul because her elbow was too high...but she is a guard cutting through the lane...
