I'd leave that to Geno and the staff and go have a whiskey. The game just started again on my TV. Time to break it down.
I would hardly call this game non physical. Tara was using gamesmanship. UCONN players were thrown to the floor through out the game.No further proof needed. If what Tara said is true and she opted to play UConn straight up, without being physical, this is what you get. Which is why Penn State and others know; that your only chance of beating UConn, is mug them and hope the officials are watching a men's game.
We've had excellent defense and stats the last 4 years or so. Is this a record-setting defense?TOTAL DOMINATION!
UConn season average: 43 points per game, .291% FGM
Stanford today: 35 points, .193% FGM
It is for timeliness and making a statement (regardless)! We've had excellent defense and stats the last 4 years or so. Is this a record-setting defense?

Doris has always been anti-UConn
Tara better consider going back to the triangle because what they were running will not ever get it done against UCONN!John Altavilla @jaltavilla
Stanford's 19.3 field goal percentage an all-time program low. Previous was 26.5 vs. #UConnwomen in national title game in Sam Antonio
She is getting there, she will have her chance. She played in the first half.Banks deserves to play more.

Equally or more physical in many ways. Less like ND physical or Penn State in that there was movement but extremely heavy contact in the post and tons of grabbing and over the top by Stanford at times and plenty of body checking. How would you classify this game vs Penn State, in terms of physicality, for example? Of course there is always some physicality.
I thought John A. was either ill or not on the west coast since there was no posting on his blog since 12/27 (yes, there's one now) What happened? Twitter is an abomination... in my opinion and a poor substitute for a real review, opinion or commentary.
Whose your Daddy!John Altavilla @jaltavilla
Stanford's 26-point loss was its first of 20 or more at home since 1986

Stanford's 11 field goals was also an all-time program low. It's previous was 17#UConnwomen
