Take note of how Stef is reaching back and keeping Chiney behind her when boxing out. This way she knows which way Chiney is trying to move and counters.
 
OK, at the first media timeout, we've extended the lead. At this point, the clock is as much of an enemy to Stanford as UConn is. This is big.
 
Stanford had to be hoping for a surge in the first few minutes of the half - ain't happening. Great start, with the Huskies gradually expanding the margin.

Chiney with a double double, but hard to win when your offense consists of 1 player. compare that to UCONN - Faris 10, KML and Stewie 9, Dolson 6, Hartley 5.

But I expect a big push by Stanford this half.

KML reinstates order with a 2, lead at 19. Bria breakaway to 21. Samuelson hits a 3 lead to 18. Chiney throws Breanna to the ground on a rebound GRABBING her arm at the 12:00 mark for cardfan. Samuelson again for a three. need to move Kelly onto her lead to 15.
 
Chiney is getting the non calls on the fouls she had. She put Stewart to the floor without a call

Not what they think in TN. Actually, Doris has been very pro UConn but now tries to bend over backwards against that criticism.
 
Dolson takes it to Chiney in the post for 2. First she gets deep position and then shows Chioney how to use your left hand.
