I disagree I think he can be competent if we had anything resembling rhythm on offense. I mean he scrambles for three yards, they bring in McCummings to dribble the ball for a 10 yard loss with a brand new center in the game. Somehow Whitmer and Davis converted that third down, but Deleone is delutional or has dementia or is just an idiot.

I think it's clear Whitmer has solid talent-he has shown he can throw a nice ball, and he showed good quickness and running ability. His only problem has been (as advertised coming from Juco) decision-making. It's too early in his career to comment on how well he learns from his mistakes, but if he is coachable and willing to adjust, he could be good. The tools are there for sure.
