Very good first half.

You know Penn State can surge, and will surge again BTW. UConn cannot take its foot off the gas pedal. Good recovery to end the half.

Excellent D on Lucas thus far.

KML and Bria were terrific on balance despite KML's early nervous energy. Hell of rebound late- boy did she fly in there.

Kelly will be raring to go in the second half.

Chris Dailey with the impeccable outfit choice. Very telegenic.

Would love to see Caroline hit a deep shot again at some point.

Kiah played like a freshman...but a very skilled one.

Hey, call the game tight or don't blow any whistles, but the annoying thing is when it's so inconsistent. Outside of the last shooting foul not called, KML got bumped a few times very hard with no calls made. Total BS

Not just on Stef. Floppers are taking over the game. Way too much of it. How many times do you see a 3 point shooter falling to the ground after shooting even when there's no obvious contact? (And This seems to be epidemic in the mens game)

Stef, Caroline, Kelly, and Kaleena all have 2 fouls. The two fouls on Kaleena and one foul on Stef were absolutely absurd. I also believe Caroline was victim to a phantom foul call as well.
Penn State is committing more fouls than they are being called for. That to me is going to be a major issue. The other #1 seeds received all the foul calls yet we cannot buy one. If UCONN wins they deserve the win. ( I am sure they will )

A couple of hard bumps from behind on rebounds too with no calls.

I'm sure Dennis DeMayo thinks he can be objective, but it does seem at times he tries too hard to not call fouls on UConn's opponent to avoid the appearance of favoritism. But that just isn't doing a fair reffing job.

IMO, Dennis should "recuse" himself from reffing UConn games because of his friendship with Geno. He does seem to be very competent when calling games other than UConn.
