Game thread

UConn missed a ton of very make-able shots in the 2nd quarter. This game could be even more out of hand than it already is.
Shots just rolling out or bouncing around the rim.

While the offense is still trying to smooth everything out, and certainly misses Lou, the UConn defense is playing at a championship level. 2 1/2 games into the season, the defensive intensity for the Huskies is off the charts great.

The amount of energy they expend on defense and the fast break is making me exhausted.

Holly Rowe interviewing Gabby forcing her to relive the MSU game.

What's with Gabby and the turnovers?
Careless at the foul line and forcing too many passes. As Geno notes, she gambles.

As noted, a few dribbles off someones foot.

.-.
Meanwhile out in Corvallis ND managed to scrape up 15 points in the first period while OSU scored 20. Shepard sat most of the period.

Gabby and Kia have almost sweated out their jersey. The whole team is playing at a very fast pace.
Dangerfield and Azura looked gassed too.
Geno did rest Crystal Dangerfield briefly. Z is not used to so many minutes.

I'm looking for Dangerfield, Azura, NaPheesa to hit more of their outside shots.
I think Z needs to stay near the blocks and start nailing some layups and give future opponents something to fear even more. Same for Pheesa.

Surprised the refs made that (correct) call on the baseline !

The only nitpick so far is that shooting has not been very good this year, with the exception of Dangerfield and Nurse from deep.

.-.
I know the score says otherwise, but I don't think they are playing so hot today. So many bricks and turnovers.

.-.
Lots of bad turnovers for us but I will also say that MD defense looks better than I ever thought it would. They are getting their hands in the passing lines very actively and trying for tie ups. I never saw a MD team that active defensively before.
