About 60% of their shots are 3s today. 3s are fun. It's great when they go in. I just wish they shot somewhat fewer 3s. :(
Geno will not be happy with that %. He has said frequently that about 1/3 of shots should be 3s.

I'd like to see about 12-24 treys per game. I think 30 is too many. I also like to see Kaleena getting at least a third of them.

So if a lot of 3s are supposed to open up the inside, I would assume UConn will be pounding the ball inside any time now, yes?
You saw it. :)

Right, Ice. But that requires that 2/3rds of the shots be something else. They seem to have an aversion to consistently bringing the ball inside and tonight, they avoided the short pull-up jump shot until late in the game. I just do not believe they should have had as much trouble inside against Gtown.

The Georgetown Defense was packing it in and giving them wide open threes. I think when you tempt our girls with that, they can't help it.

Isn't the point of a game like basketball to try to dictate YOUR style against the other guy's. More than one person has said that threes are what GTown gave UConn. Shouldn't a team as strong as UConn be able to get the other guy to play its way? I man, UConn's ranked #3 here and GTown is ranked what? And they are dictating to UConn? What is wrong with this picture?

And what happens on a night when the threes are not falling very well -- say, against Notre Dame? Suddenly you have to do something other than what the other guys are giving you. It's hard to make that kind of adjustment when your strategy up to then has been to sit back and work within the other guy's scheme.

A 3 point shooting contest; not quality basketball. Discouraged by the calibre of play. Not the UConn game we're accustomed to seeing. I'm disappointed with our Team.
