I dunno.. up 16 with 8+ left in the first half while experimenting with different combinations that will help in the tourney and beyond seems pretty good to me.

some improvement since my post. I was not thrilled with the USF game, but looking better thus far. For now at least.

Geno dusted off an old reliable strategy. After a "make" (basket or free throw), zone defense. After a "miss" (errant shot or TO), man-to-man.

This was SOP for long stretches in recent years.

Note the 1-2-2 zone. In past years, always 2-3.

Stef may be a terrific center, but what's with picking up 2 fouls in so many games in the 1st half? I know there are players on other teams who foul way more and foul out of games, not that Stef has fouled out, but she's a senior...

gametracker does a somewhat better job of keeping up than does gamecast, but has fewer details. Also gamecast gives a lot more stats than gametracker. I switch back and forth between them.
