Seems like some of the team left their game back on the plane. 20-15? 12+ minutes into the game? This is SMU guys, not Notre Dame...
 
So far Geno is not getting consistent play out of Banks or Chong. They both seem lost on the offensive end and Chong on Defense as well. Doesn't look like a 50 point blowout tonight unless Geno gets the teams attention during half time.
 
Nice drive by Banks on the diagonal crossing the lane. Banks playing well all around.
 
Ice--thanks for the timeout scores in the first post. But we got outscored 8-5 in the last segment. Please fix that! :)

This is where they really miss KML. SMU is just packing it in and making UConn beat them from the outside.
 
Jefferson to the basket, shooting two. Misses both, Stokes rebounds.

Stewie misses from the line. Missing FTs.

My biggest frustration with Bria is those type of passes.
 
1-8 from the arc.

1-5 from the line.

I know we're better than that!

Boy, Saturday could be a real adventure. Could easily see a repeat with the seniors playing in what is typically an emotional game.
 
You'll always be out hustled when you stand around and UCONN IS standing around at both ends tonight.

Suddenly we're hitting and moving.

And now we are up 20.
 
They played UConn basketball for about 3 minutes that entire half and still are going in to halftime up 20. LOL
 
Under 4:00 TO was the turning point... D stepped up its intensity and a 15-0 run ensued.
 
You know, if you just look at the numbers, UCONN doesn't look bad at all. 30-17, 60+% from the field, but...

1-9 from beyond the arc
1-6 from the FT line
8 TO's and 2 players in foul trouble in the first half...

As was pointed out, I'm sure Geno will be ... entertaining to say the least... at halftime.

Just after I posted that, caught that the score is 37-17. As someone pointed out, UCONN played about 4 total minutes of UCONN basketball in that half and is up 20... Over rated, I think not...

Bria looked pretty gassed at the free throw line. One thing that has bothered me about playing some of these less talented teams was illustrated by that foul. It was a hard foul. Not intentional. But bad players are clumsy foulers too and they can hurt you.

Bria has played great defense on Mays leading scorer for the league. 20.8 PPG Held to just 3 points in the 1st half. Stewie had 16 points and she's second in the league, averaging 19.3 PPG
 
Choppy start and poor shooting early but those last few minutes were vintage UCONN.
