So, why are the Refs favoring ND? Do we suspect that they may be Catholic? Or has the new Pope threatened them?

Honestly, when we've gotten to the rim or had put backs, ND has conceded it. We've fouled a couple times to stop layups and blocked a lot of other ones. Don't see anything amiss with the FT discrepancy.

Watch when we blow this open all the fouls ND will suddenly get when it doesn't matter

We need to push this lead to 20 by the first media timeout. Take their will.

ESPN analysts are like cockroaches that scatter when the lights come on. Pre-game was all Skylar, Skylar, Skylar...ND has UConn's #, blah, blah, blah.

Now that Geno has eliminated Skylar, Skylar, Skylar, they immediately shift to Breanna, Breanna, Breanna. Hey Sky, this is a teachable moment...media loyalty is as lasting as the last TV time-out.

Rattle ND in the first four minutes and get into their heads.

Not sure that's possible. Given the way they've pulled out some of these games, I'd think they're going to believe until the very end.
The key is to just play our game and ekeep them at arms length.

Officiating has been fine. You go to the FT line when you get fouled while shooting. UConn hasn't had that.

I hit the mute button at about the second minute - tried to find the WTIC radio call but can't get it here. So I'm doing it the silent way - Doris is bad for my blood pressure.

We are pressuring the ball hard. It has disrupted ND but has led to some fouls and some easy baskets but is making the game really hard on them.

So yes, there is likely a foul shot differential because of style of play, but at the very least ND fouled enough and wasn't called that we should have been in the bonus. They need to call on a few offensive fouls on Wright for dropping a shoulder into the defender on a screen

Stewie will be a key in the second half. They don't have much of an answer for Morgan Tuck, either. On the other hand, UConn simply cannot expect Diggins and McBride to have this kind of cold shooting half again. In truth, if ND were playing looser, they would have made UConn pay for all those turnovers early.

All of NDs points are in the paint. Few of ours are. No surprise this leads to more fouls on us.

You know Diggins and ND are going to come out in the 2nd half on fire. Must match their intensity, take care of the ball and run good offense (i.e., get the ball to Stewie).

I agree. ND backing off at the rim. UConn isn't. There is a reason for ND's poor shooting % and blocks in favor of UConn. I feel game is being officiated well.

Yeah, except Diggins gets called for one foul for every 10 times she fouls. Tough to win when they have a player that can get away with muscling the defenders and ball handlers the way she does.
