Geno, Stewie and UConn showed a lot of class. Coach (via bench stats) had to know Stewie was 3 rebounds short of a triple-double, but he stuck to his plan and sat her for Q4 regardless. He could have put her in for a few minutes more to get the 3 rebounds and the triple-double. But he didn't. And I'm sure Stewie didn't ask in the game to get it because the only numbers she cares about are NCs. Class demonstrated all around. Well done.

Absolutely no excuse for Colgate to shoot 57% from 3pt range.
What is their % from two? As long as they score less than 55, what is the problem? ND and DePaul shot a high % of threes and lost. UCONN's two point defense is good. A number of those three point shots are coming from NBA range. Normally, teams don't play defense out that far.

Off Topic Question: we are planning a trip to Connecticut in late February. Does anyone know when senior night is? Thanks in advance for game updates!
Last home game of the season, which looks to be Monday, Feb. 29 at Gampel Pavilion in Storrs vs. USF at 7PM EST.

The UconnHuskies.com ticket page states that Senior Night is on February 27th at Gampel against Tulane. Anyone know for sure?

UConn's inability to shoot the 3 consistently and stop the three is going to hurt them.

As another poster said- name the team or teams that will beat them.

I can also make statements you make. "Over the next 5 years UCONN will lose a few because the other team will hit a few more shots than them."

After she dribbled around both UConn perimeter defenders.

The shot was a prayer. We were in her face 30 feet from the basket. If we got much closer we're susceptible for a touch foul. Sometimes you have to give the opponent credit.

Congrats to Colgate for taking this game! Their players, coaches, and fans came off in a giant positive light!
To me the only negative on this night of positives was the officiating! I have been a huge WBB referee naysayer as they made calls and many non calls that anyone watching the game could only shake their heads at!
3 especially come to mind, MoJeff and opponent collided, both went down, no call and the 2nd one was N. Collier collided with the Colgate girl and even Megan announcing, was, "Wow, how can that be a non-call"! And the last one was in the 4th period and by then I was too tired to recall the players!
The NCAA has to do something to get new refs or train these refs to realize they're ruining a tremendous sport by their incompetence!

And the last one was in the 4th period and by then I was too tired to recall the players!

Stewart was blatantly grabbed on the arm in front of everyone and they let the Colgate player scamper off with the ball. There were other poor calls as well.

Late 1st quarter offensive foul call against Nurse was as bad as mentioned by someone else previously.

Without Chong, I feel something is missing in the bench.
Kaizen , I agree.......I just hope she gets back on court sooner than later. And I hope that this isn't a lingering injury. Glad this 10 day lull came at the right time. With sickness , colds , and injuries throughout the team everybody needed this break. Lets all hope Ragle gives everybody a flu shot ,cold tabs , and tell them to stay inside. Even the coaches are getting the sniffles.
