The No. 4 Huskies are back in action Thursday evening when they take on AAC opponent Cincinnati in their final tune-up before facing No. 3 Oregon. Cincinnati (13-6, 4-2 AAC) enters the matchup as one of three AAC teams whose overall winning percentage surpasses .600. The Bearcats are currently tied with USF for third in the conference standings, which is where they were predicted to finish in the AAC preseason poll. Their conference wins are over Memphis, UCF, Houston and Temple, while they have lost to USF by eight and Tulane by five. Their only other common opponent with UConn is Ohio State, who beat them by five in overtime at the beginning of the season.

Here’s what you need to know about the matchup:
Site: Gampel Pavilion
Time: 7 p.m.
Series: UConn leads, 21-0
Last meeting: No. 2 UConn 65, Cincinnati 55, in Cincinnati Feb. 2, 2019
TV: SNY, ESPN3 (Allen Bestwick, Meghan Culmo, Maria Marino)
Radio: UConn/IMG Radio Network on ESPN 97.9

The Bearcats are a decent team and they play hard, but they lack size and they’re not a particularly strong 3-pt shooting team. If the “good” Huskies show up, this game should not be particularly close.
