Scouting Marquette -

Marquette is the epitome of a solid but unspectacular squad. The Golden Eagles are rated 55th nationally by Her Hoop Stats and have an offense that averages 104.6 points per 100 possession, the 33rd-best mark in the country.
They play at a steady pace without being slow and rely heavily on inside scoring with a free throw rate and 3-point rate (the percentage of scoring attempts that come from either the free throw line or a 3-pointer) that both rank towards the bottom of the nation.

Marquette’s biggest strengths are passing (sixth in the country in assists per made basket at 70.2 percent) and rebounding, where it grabs 40.5 percent of all offensive rebounding opportunities and 57.3 percent of all rebounds, both of which are in the top 15. Selena Lott is Marquette’s go-to player, leading the team with 16.1 points and 4.6 assists per game. Lauren Van Kluenen and Camryn Taylor are both double-digit scorers as well while Jordan King dishes out 4.4 assists per game. Taylor and Chloe Marotta are tied for the team lead with 6.6 rebounds per game.

Bracketology - Charlie Creme (as of today, Creme has So. Carolina, NC State, Louisville & UConn as #1 seeds)

Tip in: Aaliyah
Edwards joined classmates Paige Bueckers and Nika Muhl (replacing injured Christyn Williams) in the starting lineup Wednesday. It marked the first time since Feb. 20, 1999 at Georgetown UConn had three freshman starters. With Bueckers (32), Edwards (22), and Muhl (11) having season highs and with Mir McLean (7) and Autumn Chassion (3) contributing off the bench, the freshmen combined for 75 points which is believed to be a program best. ;) When Saylor Poffenbarger entered the game with 2:40 left in the third quarter, the Huskies had five freshmen on the floor.

I think it unfair that "UConn leads 9-0" before the game has started. We should be gracious and let them lead 9-0 since we are favored. On a serious note, is our starting lineup posted by Geno or just a guess by someone who has no real update on the injuries? Are Christyn and Aubrey good to go??? Hope so.

The starting lineup as posted here is that of UConn beat writer Alexa Phillipou of the Hartford Courant.

NONE of the content in this thread reflect my personal thoughts, opinion or speculation. It's ALL cut and paste.

We haven't had one about AEH in a while.

That would be a fun time.
