A 10-day stretch without games is never ideal, especially this season where there’s a premium on getting them in. It’s what UConn has to deal with. They’ll finally return to the court for the first time since Dec. 29 when they host Providence this afternoon in Gampel Pavilion. Providence (5-6, 3-3 Big East) has managed to avoid any COVID-19 shutdowns thus far, as a result playing the most games of any school in the conference.

They’re 1-2 in their last three games with losses to Xavier (64-50) and Seton Hall (77-71) and a win Thursday over Butler (62-50). With a win, Geno Auriemma will tie Pat Summitt’s mark of 1,098 career wins, which is second on the sport’s all-time wins list behind Stanford’s Tara VanDerveer (1,104).

Our games don't seem to be on ESPN3 or ESPNGO as in past years.
Although they have numerous minor low profile games listed.

The game is currently displayed in the Upcoming section of the Fox Sports app/channel for our streaming pleasure.

Very few games will be streamed on ESPN this season. The games broadcasted on SNY will be streamed on the Fox Sports app/channel as mentioned in the post above (#1), in case you were not aware.

One of the problems many on the Boneyard will have, is there were lots of fans out of market that at least could count on getting a half dozen or more Uconn games each year because they were the big games. The major networks and ESPN or ESPN 2 would cover most of the competitive games. We have already lost 3 of those out of conference, have only two remaining (SC and Tenn), and the rest of the schedule of in conference games doesn't rise to a national interest level.

The streaming option for those that can get it has been a godsend, because otherwise at least this year, it might have been just two games, and we can't be sure those will still be on the schedule.

SNY schedule for today:

12:30 - Pre-game show
1:00 - Game
3:00 - Post-game show
3:30 - Undefeated: 2002
4:30 - Birth of a Dynasty '95

Will be interesting to see Liv against some height
6-3 Baskerville and 6-4 Geary

The game is currently displayed in the Fox Sport app, I am very thankful I am able to see the game in real time. Problems, no pre game, other than my own commentary. Blank or black screens at times, never really know if my tv has quit, the feed has pooped out or whatever. A few times the half time or post games with Geno are truncated. No post game show. I can live with these problems and am glad I can watch the games. Enjoy the game! stay safe. GO Huskies!

Tease. Significant news about Edwards???

Some kids are better off the bench. They can see the flow of the opponents’ offense/defense and then jump right into the game and make an impact

Best play of the game, Geno giving coaching chair and clipboard to Chassen during 3Q timeout. Priceless!
