His palms are sweaty
he's nervous so in the 3rd
he went with OT
Coulda used OT
Done in by nerves and fatigue
Why can't folks just count?

"Didn't you miscount?"
"Yes, but it was a mistake"
"So were the others"

When more people count
It's like put back baskets made
After a missed shot

Outright miscounting
Apostrophe without S
Odd-syllabled words

I can't give a Like
But others seem not to mind
Mojo affected?

The road's narrowing
So is the error margin
Little things matter

Play loose and have fun
But unforced errors can hurt
Coaches, players, fans

Game preparation
Chances to grow & close out
One game at a time

It's that time of year
Time to put it together
We all play our part

Connecticut's team
New York's and New England's too
Why not New Jersey's?
I’ve counted again
Five-seven-five is right on
No mojo destroyed

He counts Catholic
As two syllables, not three
I‘m with you and Joel
Ambiguity:
MY haiku 'must to avoid'
(Not claiming "I'm right")

To the contrary
Your support of Dr Hoop
Affects the mojo

Some shots are iffy
And offensive rebounds help
Some get a good bounce

Care quotient rising
Looking out for each other
Focusing ourselves

Steve Weber would say
"I'm a good 'cat-lic' father"
His shtick stuck wit me

I appreciate
Your attention to detail
Mojo undamaged

"Catholicism"
Mos def is five syllables
I write from "Loo-vul"

Others would argue
that Loyola Maryland
locates in "Bawlmer"

Park City of yore,
saintly buildings on each block.
kids called them catlics.

orthodox were greeks.
prots, joos, muzzies, and hindies,
bhoodies, wickies, too.

lunchtime was most fun!
no one traded twinkies for
matza vindaloo.

pops sez public school
let out noon friday, catlic
kids had to see saints.

gramps sez public school
teachers whacked kids with rulers.
where did they learn that?

yet all the kids loved
turkey day and the fourth, best.
God bless 'Murica.
