"Passing fancy: This UConn team trails last year’s squad is most statistical categories heading into the postseason with a couple of notable exceptions. Leading the list is assists as the Huskies have 43 more assists than they did a season ago after 29 games. If UConn keeps up its current pace and reach the AAC and NCAA tournament title games, this team would break the NCAA Division I women’s record set by the 2013-14 Huskies. It should be noted that both Saniya Chong and Gabby Williams have 14-0 assist/turnover ratios in two regular-season games against Tulsa."
