Game Analysis - Game 1 - UConn vs Louisville

Great analysis to get us started.

One comment: Unless the Governor of Minnesota is a recent Louisville hire, I believe the Cardinals' coach is still JEFF Walz.
I laughed when I saw that and thought to myself well if Tim Walz is actually coaching, I would put that as an intangible benefit for us.

I, as others before me, offer thanks for your excellent presentation of the pregame analysis!
You can be sure that the sharks will pounce on any error and in good faith correct the presenter!
I always look forward to your pregame! Giving potential match ups to look for during the game!
Keep up the great work!

Last year opponents were focused on trying to control/limit Paige and Sarah benefitted from that. This year Sarah may be the recipient of a more focused defensive effort until Azzi shows that her run in last year's NCAA tournament has become a consistent performance game to game this season. If, and I expect it will, this happens, then the opposition will be faced with a "pick your poison" dilemma that will benefit both players.
....as well as Serah and Ash and eventually Blanca.

Jana still appears to be slowed by injury. Likely more important to who gets minutes, she is a classic, deliberate playing big, a position few other teams have. For years, UConn plays a uptempo game that generates a barrage of 3's. Not a Jana strength.

I'm not clear if you are saying you observe that Jana is "slowed" (by injuries) or that you assume so based on flat line development and playing time. Classic bigs sometimes take a while. What you need from Jana this year is to be a reliable safety net against potential injury or foul trouble to Serah W when trying to match up with opponent classic 6' 5" type bigs. Next year is a different story, Jana will need to be fully developed, to the extent capable, or somebody else will fill those shoes
