Miami has missed chances to get separation, but some of that is the Spurs being tough. They just have not let Miami go on a run. When they've needed a play, they've made it (with the caveat that the banked-in three was the biggest of all, which was just dumb luck).

Starting to feel like the mentally tougher team is SA. May be the difference.

They are daring Lebron to shoot, and he's hitting everything.

All four of Ray's shots have been really tightly contested. The three he missed in the first half was an ok look with a big flying at him, but far from clean. Times like these you wish you had your young legs and could drive to the hoop for an easy one on the break or something.

Could be a possession to regret. Up four, place going nuts - Heat don't run anything. James forces a three, gambles on a steal, takes himself out of the play, Leonard with a put back. Instead of maybe going up six, it goes down to two.

The Heat have given the Spurs several points by gambling for silly steals in the backcourt that they had no chance of getting. Or giving really soft pressure defense for no reason instead of getting back.

Wheels coming off the bus for Spurs.

Yep. He's on fumes. Not sure he has enough in the tank to close it out.
this is why the Spurs needed to wrap it up in game 6, you keep the more talented athletic team in it and this is what happens, still a ton of time though.

spurs gotta consider themselves lucky to still be close with the way theyve been playing... they look exhausted. Ginobli isnt helping

FWIW, as a Ray Guy (haha - always up for a punter joke, although we must say RIP to Dave Jennings if we are discussing punters), Spoelstra is making the right decision here. Battier is providing the shooting, Wade and James have it going, and Chalmers gives them a de facto PG who can put it on the floor. This is their best lineup tonight. Ray wasn't getting good looks - but if he contributed nothing else tonight, he got Battier going early with some wide open looks on kickouts (he also played pretty good D, and got James a couple threes as well).

Oy, LeBron. Kickouts to Bosh for threes? Just take it strong or pull up.
