Top of the 2nd.

Martin hit a homer back in the 1st

This team continues to kill themselves. Struggling to get a guy in from 3rd and less than 2 outs. Also, it won't show up as an error but it sounded like 2 fielders couldn't decide who was going to catch a fly ball and the ball drops in for a double and a run. Tough breaks for Marzi who also sounded like he had some bad calls go against him.

Penders bringing in Feehan for a 3rd straight day. Not sure about this when you haven't used Jolin at all this series. Hope he isn't pushing him too much.

Feehan has no control, hit a batter, walked a batter and a wild pitch. He's got to be tired. Why in the world did Penders pitch him. I really find myself questioning Penders decisions all the time. As I am typing this Pitt takes the lead as the 7,8,and 9 hitters get to Feehan. Once why did Penders pitch Feehan and not bring in Jolin. In the top of the 7th after a leadoff double he choses not to bunt the runner over, they did get away with it because of a long fly ball the runner was able to tag, but still I just don't get his managerial decisions.

Gotta get some runs in Top of the 9th...

we're behind by 1 run.

.-.
TIED 3-3!!!

Single by Connor David (Freshman) as Devin Over (yet another Freshman) scores the run.

Ferriter NICE hit brings in David and Yavarone.

Score is 5-3

Ferriter comes up clutch for the 2nd time this game. Great rally.

Great rally! But why is Pitt trying to close with a freshman??? Silly them.

.-.
Bottom of the 9th now.

Oberg gotta be careful here.

Just redeemed himself there, with a K.

2 more outs!

Ball game!

Great 3 game sweep!!!

oh by the way.

NICE KNOWING YOU PITT!!!

Final score:
UConn 5
Pitt 3

Game over 5 - 3. Nice comeback win. 8 - 1 in BE and 18 - 13 overall. Need to keep it going with 2 OOC games this week.

Great win. Great job by Oberg. Biggest moment was bottom of the 8th, Pitt had 1st and 2nd no outs and a 3-0 count on the batter, Oberg fought back to 3-2 then gets the ground ball double play and the next guy to ground out. Kept the score 3-2. Oberg really starting to come back to form. Nice job.

I wish Syracuse had a baseball team so we could sweep them out of BE too...

I still find that weird, Cuse not having a baseball team, would actually be a pretty good rivalry.

Question - what happens when Ward get's back healthy. Who is the 3rd weekend starter besides Ward and Marzi? Both Fischer and Debakman were impressive in their recent starts. If anything it should just mean that they don't have to rush back Ward.

The Ville lost to Georgetown today so UConn and USF tied a top BE Standing.

Fischer, should be no question about it IMO. He's a great power arm to compliment the other 2.

Cuse has a perrienial national championship Lacrosse team for the springtime. Probably because of title 9 reasons they cannot afford mens baseball scolies, having used them for Lacrosse.

This week is the last week that we play five games. After this week, we play no more than 3 games a week. Given the struggles that Feehan is having, and the last appearance of each of Butler, Tabakman and Dettman (or whatever), I have to think they are tempted to put Fisher back in the pen. Not because he isn't doing fine as a starter, but with Feehan's struggles that might be the best way to make the team strongest.
