A right proper beat-down of a game Seton Hall team. I said to Colleen before seeing the game: "if they play defense at the same intensity as against So. Carolina, the score will be 87-48. Shoulda joined the prognosticators thread.

Surprised to hear the commentators talking about UConn winning because of their scoring "bursts". Some time ago, and for an extended time, it was an established understanding that "basketball is a game of runs" and you had to have yours and withstand your opponent's.

Absolutely thrilled to see Aubrey's growth in the last 2 games. She's always in the scrum under the baskets and her Per-40 stats below reflect that. Her leaping, hand & foot speed, and focus on the ball and her defensive target were exemplary, and she is in the top 4 of every metric in the grid.

For decades, the Huskies were known for their extended, soul-crushing runs. Doris Burke used to mention it quite often, especially if the Huskies fell behind then she would ponder when “the inevitable run” would happen. Those runs were the Huskies’ super power.
