You knew she would land on her feet somewhere. I agree with others here that this is only "stop gap" employment for her. She's still got her heart set on a D1 head coaching job in a P5 conference, probably next year as openings become available.

I'm pretty sure Goestenkors passed on applying/interviewing for the Michigan job when it last opened up. I believe it opened up right after GG resigned at Texas. It was a while ago but I believe I remember her being quoted as saying she still wanted a break and wasn't interested in the position. Strange that here we are now with her taking this random assistant job

Yes she was born in Michigan. But it never seemed like she had too much attachment to it.

She went 2-3 against Geno. For one win? Duke came from 20 pts down, 3 point buzzer beater and snapped a 69 home game winning streak 68-67 in 2004 and the other was an 63-61 OT Elite 8 win in 2006.
