GABBY, with a triple double!!

The 10 TO's - she acknowledged it right away in post game.

She'll look to it for motivation going forward. A lot of it is due to her aggressive style, the same style that leads to all those blocks, rebounds, driving layups, and assists. :D

I think the last time UCONN had a turnover triple doubler was in 2013 when Dolson had 12 points, 11 boards and 11 TOs at Notre Dame.

A lot of it was due to poor decision making.

BIG momma Stef Dolson -
Consider what Stefanie Dolson did Wednesday at the XL Center. After scoring just three points in Sunday's win at Penn State, the All-American racked up the first triple-double for UConn since 1989 as the Huskies rolled to a 114-68 win. Dolson scored a career-high 26 points (10 of 11) with 14 rebounds and 11 assists in just 31 minutes. That was enough to become the first Husky since Laura Lishness in the 1989 Big East Tournament to have a triple-double.

Kiah Stokes had a triple double the next year, Jan. 28, 2015: 10 points, 11 rebounds, 10 blocks vs. East Carolina.

Effort. Energy. Desire. Determination. As well as KLS absence, meant Gabby was going just a little harder, faster, and stronger, than her ability to control. My opinion is that if she had been able to back off, just a tiny fraction, the 10 would have been 2-3. My bet would be that she doesn't have another 10 in a game.

Some painful memories you're evoking for the Husky faithful.

I think Kaleena may have had one too, possibly in the NCAA tourney.

I saw 3 types of TOs from Gabby today. (1) At least 2-3 times, she drove left into the lane and dribbled the ball of her foot or the defender's foot. If it was her foot, that's something she can work on. (2) At least twice, she got a pass at the hight post, and, when she turned, the defender grabbed or stripped the ball. Give Maryland's defense some credit, but Gabby need to be more alert. (3) Gabby forced some relatively low-percentage passes. As Geno noted on Friday night, she tends to take chances. She probably should dial it back just a little. I wasn't too bothered by the TOs. It seemed as if Gabby had her hand on the ball on most plays.

Geno at the post-game presser said Gabby is the only WBB player in the country that can make a TO and before the coaches could yell at her she stole the ball back and had a layup or an assist! And then turn it over again and finally have 6 points 3 assists and 5 steals in with the TO's!

Can't be too painful when you look at how that year panned out for UCONN

Indeed. I don't know if I've ever fan-experienced a more cathartic redemption in a postseason.

I like borrowing the poker term, and calling this sort of thing a "counterfeit triple-double."
