Nothing wrong with a good hedge. Like options in the stock market protect yourself on the downside.

Anyone sitting on a big future wager? I didn't jump on before the season started and shame on me. I guess we were as high as 125-1! I have been getting action down since we started 5-0, and have tickets for 33-1, 25-1, and now 10-1. Total risked so far is $165 to win $3090. Let's goooooo! Would love to not be doomed.

How many of you scared money cowards hedged? I don’t expect any truthful answers. I didn’t hedge $1. Ship it.
I had a $100 that paid $3,100. I hedged $1,000 and took the 7.5 points on SDSU. Could have won both if UConn won by 1-7.

Best $4,000
Actual $2,000
Worst $990

Here's an idea:

Done!

No hedging I got burned a couple of times on parlays where I could have cashed out and lost it on the last leg but with the UConn bet I was never tempted.

I almost made that bet but by the time I hedged and hawed it was down to +3000 on Nov 28

A small one I made literally the minute the 2022 title game ended.

Did not talk about it until Saturday night after we won the Final Four game. Just one of the many crazy mojo things I’ve been doing in recent weeks.

One of my friends had $200 on +7500 and just won $15k. No hedging for either of us (not like mine was really large enough to hedge, but I thought maybe my friend should’ve).

Congrats to everyone!!!

Got in at +1600 in that weird two day period where you can bet the UConn future in CT

Also had the women at +900 #firegeno

Was fortunate to place a sizable wager on
our magnificent men. Odds were 10-1 which reflected the 14-0 start! Can’t complain, tempted to do again! So many ifs, anyone’s guess! Although a repeat is possible think very very unlikely! Everyone aiming do not the king off the mountain!

That's a reasonable approach, except we've been blowing everyone out. If you were to hedge, I would have just done it on the moneyline.

Had a similar bet that paid $2300 on a 70-1 bet last October….buddy holding ticket for me in Las Vegas and will be cashing in tomorrow and sending me a check…now the big question before I cash in….will I receive the full $2300? Reading tax articles about some casinos withholding tax on certain payouts but don’t think this payout falls under that category as article indicated bet had to be 300-1 or greater.
