Pretty much a fait accompli after she was left off the Olympic team.

She was always one of my favorites.

I think my dear, departed dad loved her... and he was in his 80's.

I believe most of the male population of CT loved her regardless of their age - I admit to being smitten and I know my father was as well at age 80+. But his real favorite was Sue.

I will miss her, great career coming to an end. She and Sue (surprise surprise) are my favorite players
Still would love her to play one more year with my Storm

Hopefully this means we will see her in the WNBA this summer, although I still believe that is unlikely.

on twitter she said she does not know yet. I could see an opening on the storm with Sue and LJ out

Sveta and Sue - The girls next store...if you lived -well, you know.

Either could be in the dictionary next to "All American Girl" - some irony there, eh?

My of my dad's great quotes after being asked at a family get-together if he thought Uconn could beat so and so.... "As long as we have that Russian kid we'll be fine."

I don't remember the girls at the store, at the next store, or next door in the CT I grew up in being as hot as having a Sue and Sveta hanging around, but I admit there were places in the state a lot different than my hometown.

She arrived as a skinny teenager a little older than 17 and didn't look like she was ready for Div I basketball. She then proved that first apperances can be mis-leading as she had an outstanding career at UConn and is one of the all time greats. She grew to become a world class player and a beatiful women.

Seattle could definitely use Sveta this year, but I rather doubt she'd want to play for them minus both Sue and Lauren.
