Thompson and Orange are very different than the guards we've seen at Stanford in the past. They are fast and athletic and give Stanford some speed that we are not accustomed to seeing out front.

i seem to remember 2 games in which we played against them them last season

Stanford may be minus the "sisters", but they are not pushovers.

They have a high energy backcourt that can score and their frontcourt is not exactly shabby, including at least one player I can remember UCONN having recent interest in.

I don't believe they have enough to pull off the upset tonight, but they have some nice players and are at home, so I don't think this will be an absolute cakewalk. Which in my opinion, is a good thing.
