That is a pretty good home schedule after all. Excited to see BYU and Boise come to the Rent.

I for one will be happy when we get to 12 and eliminate the multiple-bye weeks. Don't think it is helpful. This schedule for all intents and purposes has 3. That's 2 too many. And it seems like we go forever without a home game after Temple. But last year was set up similarly...multiple home games then a long stretch of road games and bye weeks. Then basically every other game at home. On the other hand BYU, Boise, Central Florida and Cincinnati will all be pretty good games to measure our progress. We play Memphis on "rivarly weekend." Wouldn't Temple make way more sense?

I couldn't be happier about the October schedule. I am getting Married on the 4th and was worried I'd have to miss one or two home games due to wedding/honeymoon. Ended up working out perfectly. I've only missed one home game the past six years to walk my sister down the aisle and I'm glad I can keep it that way. August can't come soon enough!
Congrats. My honeymoon included flying down to tampa for the 2010 USF-UConn game before heading to Miami for a cruise. I still can't believe I pulled that off - ever since kid #2 came along the wife has been pressuring me to drop my season tickets.

Playing catch-up - from yesterday:

“@TBTimes_Bulls: For those wondering, kickoff times/TV slots for 1st 3 weeks of @American_Conf games will be made in June.”

“@TBTimes_Bulls: Rest of schedule will fall under 12-day, 6-day selection processes.”

“@NHRJimFuller: According to @philsteele042 #UConn football team's 2014 schedule tied for 80th among 128 FBS teams http://Post original url/1lF15XD”

Pretty sure the list is the NCAA method, which Phil thinks is flawed and not a great formula, Florida International is at 18 and Alabama is at 95, right next to Akron. He mentions that he is gonna do his own.

Seems like a flawed study. There are more variables than wins and losses. They rank FIU in the top 20 and their schedule is not tougher than UCONN'S

Naturally Steele is going to say his method is better - he's trying to sell magazines.

The NCAA's method is just one method. There is no perfect method.
