What a lead in to BIG East Conference play. Geno should know exactly what kind of team he has going forward by the holiday break. Enough top ranked teams to bring out the best (or worst) in our team. I’m glad Arkansas is up first. A chance for a little “payback“ to open the season.

Been waiting for this - thank you.

Mohegan Sun game tickets are on sale at the Sun website, otherwise my UConn athletic dept contact says they are being marketed to Season Ticket holders - hence the poor selection on the Mohegan ticket site.

Looking forward to live attendance but am not confident it will actually happen. More and more restrictions seem to be implemented in stores, restaurants, concert venues as the Delta, Lamda, Mu Covid variants gain media coverage and we all get farther away from our initial (full-strength) vaccination dates and our doses time degrade.

Novavax is coming soon with high expectations, let's hope.

Looking forward to a new season - hopefully I will get them on my TV package once again.

My mouth is starting to water already.
Another 2 months of watching old games on YouTube.
Need another outlet.

Help me out. Why do we play exhibition games against Div 2 schools?

Based on my understanding (and someone please correct me if I'm wrong), if there is a pre-season exhibition/scrimmage between two D1 teams, it HAS to happen without fans and media. So pretty much a closed door scrimmage.

By scheduling exhibitions against D2, D3, or NAIA schools, they're allowed to treat it more like a regular game.

I believe they can only have a public D1 vs. D1 exhibition if the proceeds go to charity:

Right!! I've watched from 95 to 2021 RS, CT, NCAA tournament, individual high school highlights you name it. I think I'm just as much as they are

45 days to go!!!
Have been watching the 2020-2021 games on YouTube in chronological order .
Have watched them all 2-3 times.
Except the Arizona game. Watching Ari McDonald torch us like a funeral pyre AGAIN, wasn't my idea of entertainment.
Promised myself I would force myself to watch it before the 2021-2022 campaign began.
Maybe Saturday evening, Nov 6th.
Can work up a good, smoldering hunger for redemption along with the heartburn.
I'll lay in a supply of Tums.
P.S.: I wonder if anyone in Storrs will be watching along with me?

I’ll happily watch the re-air of Arizona-UConn, Jeannette Pohlen’s streak snapper, Amber Orrange’s three that sent the game to OT, or the shot that sent Mississippi State to the ship.

In fact, this sounds like a great event! A marathon of the most heart wrenching games in UConn history.

Cool-

You can add the 11 NC games we have won to that line-up, when we used like a snot rag in the 1995 FF, the 2009 FF, and the 2014 FF as well.

Cheers

The heart wrenching games are that way for a reason. The Huskies WBB, over the last 25 years or so, have established a record of success rarely seen in competitive sports. So when they lose, it comes as a shock to the faithful.
Example: last year they finished 29-2 with an extremely young team. The expectation was STILL a NC. The post-mortem was more a breakdown of what UCONN did wrong rather than what Arizona, Stanford did right.
Of course the relatively thin list of Husky "failures"provides some hope for the rest of the D1.
Let them have their moment.
The cutting of the net come April will be that much sweeter.

What is this post in response to? Just a random non sequitur taunt?

Be a hater if you like. I guess that comes with the territory of being the undisputed all-time greatest women's basketball program. Other teams occasionally get to play spoiler, and that becomes their greatest achievement ever.

Charity games have been allowed a few times by the NCAA, but not this year. Note that the tweet you linked is from 2019.

As someone who lives near Atlanta, I'm trying to figure out if I want to check out the Georgia Tech game or drive a few hours to the SC game. That'd be a great matchup to see live Is imagine.
