Ft. Hays State Exhibition

Could it be that someone knows your location/timezone? (Either your browser, the BY or the UConnHuskies site.)
I am in the Eastern Timezone and I see the game time as 1PM.
I tried to do the math, but I got a head ache! :)

FT Hays Roster . 2 players over 6'

Yeah, I saw that.
That’s why I hope they ALL enjoy the workout, running against new hoopsters, the experience, and new acquaintances.
Work hard.
Stay healthy.
Everyone.

Any pregame information about Ft. Hayes? Aren't they a top D2 team?
They are one of the highest ranked D2 teams in the country.........they were 22-4 last season and are led by two seniors Whitney Randall (15 pts) and Jaden Hobbs (14.3 pts). Hobbs played two years at Oklahoma State where she started 24 games. She shot .449% from three last season.

Just to clarify, that's High Point, the Big South-winning school located in the Triad region of North Carolina? ( @triaddukefan )

Let's leave High Point outta this

You are right about location/timezone. Shows 10:00 AM here in Oregon.

Who is the gentleman in the middle wearing the UConn shirt?
The FHSU head coach Tony Hobson is in the bottom left. No idea who is the person in the middle.

Could it be Peter Werth?
Yes he is Peter Werth. In 2017 he donated $22.5 M to UConn fondation.

Peter J. Werth is a philanthropist and the founder, president, and CEO of ChemWerth, Inc. Werth earned his bachelor’s degree from Fort Hays State University in Kansas and his master’s degree from Stanford University, beginning his professional career as an R&D scientist in the early 1960s. Working from a room above the garage in his Woodbridge, Connecticut home, he established ChemWerth Inc., a full-service generic drug development and supply company, in 1982.

This was the hospitality from 2017. Very cool they get to experience it again.

Hobson said it was a phenomenal experience.

“What I thought was so special was just how generous Coach Auriemma, his staff and players were with their time,” Hobson said. “They were taking pictures with us. We got to watch them practice the day before. We ate dinner with them the night before. We just really appreciated that. I would come out there every year if we had the opportunity.”

Of all the schools in the US, curious how Ft. Hays State got this opportunity.

Good news seems to be that the exhibition games from previous years have links on www.uconnhuskygames.com/
so I expect the same should be true for 2021

The prior FT Hayes game in 2017 for example

Interesting that he got his undergrad from FHSU, went to Stanford for his masters, gave money to FHSU, lived in Woodbridge, (63 miles from UConn) and gave a huge endowment to UConn. I wonder if he gave any money to Tara? Far be it for me to want to troll her about that but...
