Friday's action - Huskies win, Mid Tenn goes down

Big game so far today has been Middle Tennessee ranked #45 in Sagarin losing to #111 Southerm Mississippi in the CUSA semis. Got to think that since the loss came in the semis that the Blue Raiders are going to the NIT, just as Creme had in the Bracketology. Western KY is a little ahead of Old Dominion in the second CUSA game and is the favorite for the title. May also move Tulane up a spot to #50 (as in a Top 50 team) in the Sagarin rankings.

Arkansas-Little Rock, James Madison and Wichita State advanced in their tourneys as expected, and of course Albany and Hartford play each other later for the America East crown.

And yes, the Houston Baptist Huskies pulled a big upset today in the Southland 2nd round game, so there is still a chance for three Huskies teams in the Tourney.

And ouch, after leading by 18 at the half. Western KY has completely blow the lead against ODU. As WKU is the #37 team in Sags, this could be a bad one for Tulane.

Whew, I guess, but who knows? And who knows if Creme is even close, but last year he had USF out and only two AAC teams in, and he was right.

And looking at Creme's final Bracketology last year, it looks like he did nail all 64 spots last year. Some may complain that he doesn't get a lot of the placements right, but he does a great job of sorting the teams. His major goof last year was picking Stanford as a #1 seed instead of South Carolina, but he certainly had the last laugh there as the Cards got to the FF and USCar didn't even make the Elite 8.

And Ball State got knocked off, so UTenn fans can heave a sigh of relief.
