I dislike Grayson Allen, but since he was in high school I’ve loved his game.

As soon as I saw he selected Duke, I knew I wouldn’t root for him. Then he confirmed he was a bit douchey for 3 years straight.

But offensively, I like his game a lot.
He spent tonight’s game proving he can’t shoot NBA 3’s then finally made one step in shot when cuse should have made him shoot another from deep. I’ve hated him less this year but only because he’s proven to be not good enough to warrant that strong of a reaction.

This is how you recruit and coach basketball. Jay Wright and Nova recruiting class rankings:

From 247
2015 - 29
2014 - 48
2013 - 36
2012 - 27

From ESPN
2015 - 24
2014 - 37
2013 - 31
2012 - >25

That team is Villanova. Those classes led to a NC. They are currently a 1 seed. Their 2016 class rankings were 45 and 33 respectively.

It's not always finding the "best" players, it's finding the "right" players. JC was excellent at this, obviously Jay Wright is too, and I think Hurley has shown he has this quality as well. I'm too lazy to look it up, but I'm sure most of his URI guys were "under the radar" types and those cats could play.

Why isn’t there basketball on TV right now. :(

I gotta say, the scheduling of game times this year has stunk. So much 'dead air' during bad matchups and what have you. And late starts that had people playing after midnight EST.
