The Maryland men's game last night led to many face palm moments for my daughter (we were instant messaging back and forth during the game). There was much wailing and gnashing of teeth in her dorm last night.

She will not be attending the women's game. Classes to attend....

Also, odd seeing the 17-14 win/loss record under the #11 Auburn name.

NCState held Auburn to just two FT the last 7 minutes of the 2nd quarter and leads the Tigers, 32-15, at the half. Dominique Wilson leads all scorers with 14 points. Both teams a combined 12 for 12 from the FT line. Auburn shooting 17% for the game.

Well folks once again its tourney time which means it's reality time, and once again the SEC is starting out by showing how overrated it is. With 7:25 left in the 4th KU is beating Belmont 59-55. Belmont.

Yes, that is my perspective as well. A well-executed whiparound is awesome (I exclusively watch RedZone on NFL Sundays). But the whiparound decision-making of ESPN for the women's tourney is usually poor.

In 2015, SEC went 9-7, worse than the 11-7 record predicted by their seeds.
In 2014, SEC went 12-8, worse than the 15-8 record predicted by their seeds.
In 2013, SEC went 14-7, even with the 14-7 record predicted by their seeds.

4-year record: 45-30
predicted by seeds: 47-30

Hardly strikes me as a conference vastly underperforming expectations.
