4 quarterfinal games in the ACCT today. The top 8 seeds have advanced so far:

5-seed Louisville takes on 4-seed NCState at 11 am
8-seed Virginia plays top seed Notre Dame at 2 pm
7- seed Miami plays 2 -seed Florida State at 6 pm
6-seed Syracuse faces 3-seed Duke in the day's final game.

These should be some great games. I hope the Wolfpack Women are ready; Louisville no doubt is out for revenge and this time, Hines-Allen will play.

Louisville calls a quick timeout not even 4 minutes gone by in 1st quarter...NCState with an early 9-5 lead.

End of 1st quarter..NCState leads Louisville, 28-18. NCState with 4 THREEs...while Durr has three THREEs for the Cardinals. Wolfpack went 6-6 from the FT line, after missing 12 FT in the Virginia game on Sunday. Cardinals have burned two timeouts so far.

What's interesting is that PG Miah Spencer has two THREEs; that normally is not a part of her shooting repetoire.

Would be nice to see the Wolfpack repping the ACC instead of the Usual Suspects!!
By the way nice to have the ACC tournament played in a 3000 seat arena.

Media timeout with 2:20 left in the 2d quarter...NCState leads Louisville, 34-26.

More noteworthy is that senior Jennifer Mathurin went to the bench in obvious pain with a right leg injury of some sort.

Louisville ends the quarter on a 12-2 run..NCState clinging to a 34-32 lead. Wolfpack missed 13 of it last 14 shots. In the 2nd quarter, NCState was called for 5 fouls, while the little angels from Louisville were not called for a single infraction.

You must not know the back story to that

Louisville has taken a 1-point lead, 44-43...4:10 to go 3rd quarter. NCState has also lost three-point specialist Ashley Williams with an elbow to the face and on a play when no fouls were called.

End of 3rd quarter...Louisville leads 47-46. Very physical game. Louisville dominating on the boards, 28-17. At least Ashley Willams has come back for NCState.

Let me fill in the blanks. The tourney was moved out of NC [ ] to Coastal Carolina in Conway, SC (better known as just inland from Myrtle Beach). CCU is upgrading their programs and have a really nice little campus. Baseball national championship last year.

Tickets for the ACC tournament, that got absolutely zero coverage in today's local Sun News, cost all of $7. We live here now, recently relocated from CT, and are going to the finals on Friday. Hoping to see a good game and whoever gets to be a victim of UCONN domination in the NCAA's. Maybe we'll try to sit right behind Muffett. :>)

Dominique Wilson with a big THREE to give NCState a 58-57 lead. Then Durr, who has 28 points, missed a THREE. Timeout NCState. 56 seconds left.

Louisville beats NCState, 59-58. Pack had two shots at it in the closing seconds but couldn't execute. That should eliminate any chance of NCState hosting the first two rounds of NCAAT.

I think there were a couple of bad calls against NC St. in the last minute.

I see I'm not the only one to feel that way. That play when Durr slipped and they called the kick ball off of State was particularly egregious. And that other out of bounds play as well.

I thought there were 3 very questionable calls against NC State; a kicked ball call, an out of bounds call, and a bump (foul) on NC State. All these calls were in the last minute or so. Yet NC State had two shots to win the game.

What happened to #11? I saw her on the sidelines and figured she must have gotten in foul trouble, but she never got back in the game

I couldn't watch this game but it sounds like it could've gone either way. A shot here or a call there. Those are the most painful ones to lose.

NC State won't get to host, but the good news is they've been a good road team in conference play. As a #5 seed they'll give a #4 a good run for the money.

Mathurin had a sprained knee when she got sandwiched between two Cardinal defenders. Coach Moore said in his post-game press conference that she should be able to play in the NCAAs.

Meant finals on Sunday. Semi's on Saturday are sold out.

Wasn't pretty but the end result was fine. Massey and Sagarin both projected ND by 15. ND won by 17.

Lindsay Allen now the ACC's all-time assists leader.

ACC would be wise to not show any wide shots of the arena. Looks like a high school gym.
