Solid contributors or not, it seems to me that to be considered "a really good point guard" one would have to have an assist to turnover ration of 2.0 or above as a sophomore, and at least something on the way toward that as a freshman. At this point, and despite their recruiting rankings, neither of the Lady Vol candidates on your list come close to showing that kind of promise. And I don't think that Tennessee's history of bad assist to turnover ratios gives them a free pass. Just as a point of comparison, Ionescu had an assist to turnover ratio of 1.9 as a freshman; it's about 2.5 this year.
To be honest, im not sure Tennessee has had any point guards with 2:1 A/TO ratios since Lawson and Jolly. It doesn’t give them a free pass, but at the same time it’s worth mentioning. Just like how they should be on the list and could develop in spite of having Holly as their coach.
Regardless though, they should be on the list at this point. They’ve been solid contributors for Tennessee and have had some very good games against quality teams. Who knows if Holly will be coaching them all 4 years...under a different coach with a different scheme they could flourish. Maybe they’ll make strides in the off season, time will tell.
