Completely agree. A 5 setter grand slam final between 1 and 2 is the pinnacle. The two best battling it out and you have to win it - can’t run the clock out.
 
I think Alcaraz is playing the best 10 minutes ever played in tennis right now. Sinner heroically came back when his back was against the wall with insane shot after shot including a through the legs half volley. Alacaraz saved the game and match hitting insane shot after shot and has kept it going in the breaker with insane shot after shot.

This tiebreak is yet another level I didn’t even know he had. Don’t even know if Carlos knew he had this in him. It’s the highest level I’ve seen. Jannik has been stones in tiebreakers and Carlos is up 9-2. Just incredible
 
These two are going to win so many majors it's going to be incredible. Djokovic is on his last legs and there is nobody else even close to these two now and nobody close to these guys coming up. They're just 22 and 23 years old.

Djokovic, Nadal, and Federer had to split majors between them with Murray being a spoiler.

They both look on pace to be all time greats. The new era is here
 
Iconic championship match- they should both be proud for their effort, play, grit, & overall performance- it’s what sports is all about- what a treat- thank you both for putting on such an incredible show.

Shelton is going to play the Murray role me thinks. He will win a US Open in the next 5 years.

You might be correct about Shelton winning the US Open within the next 5 years or maybe Wimbledon as he has big first serve. The Murray role I think will be Daniil Medvedev. If you asked a few years ago I would have said Dominik Thiem, but he just fell off and I believe he is retired.

Thiem unfortunately had a serious wrist injury in 2021 he never quite recovered from

Tsitsipas is the one I’m floored by… from French and Australian Open finals (and he WON the 2019 tour championship) to now a complete and total falloff… it’s so hard to watch unfortunately. Mental headcase

Shelton’s game is made for American hard courts. And he loves the bright lights. NYC will be fun for the US Open for him
