Anyone know the last time a UConn team didn't draw a single shooting foul inside the three point line?

A little odd that the team scoring its points from behind the arc manages to generate 5x the free throws of the team that's scoring all its points inside.

Gillespie had his "chicken wings" out all game, carving out space and never got called. Seems as long as you don't extend the arm, holding the elbow out to keep your man away is OK.

Tell that to Carlton, who got called for merely holding his arm out in the first half.

One big swing point in the game was Sidney's drive that could've been a 3 point play. The announcers thought it was more a block than a charge. Nova scored 5 straight after that. 8 point swing.

[/QUOTEIT comes down to respect fr the refs.

Many good points. We have to earn respect from everybody by going on the floor for 50 50 and getting 50 50 loose balls, giving up the body for an offensive charge, playing intense defense all over the floor all of the time, etc.. We have to be men all of the time. Nothing can beat a team that won't let an opponent do what it wants to do.
Opponents won't want to play us and give in when we prove we take the fun out of the game for them.
It all starts with defense and this will fuel the offense.
I'm sick of having my life jerked around by a bunch of loosers.

We don’t have a “physical” rep which hurts us but teams like Wichita or Nova are “gritty” so they “don’t foul”

I didn't think the refs were all that bad overall in this game, but this call was brutal. It wasn't even close to being a charge. That call and the phantom foul on Alterique where he literally didn't come within 6 inches of touching his man were just terrible calls.
