Hurley’s ability to retain players and staff as well as development of question mark usage skills was once considered a strength.
one offseason is a single data point, not a trend...

However, with the free covid year (now fully phased out? maybe 1 more class?), additional 1x free transfer, Overtime Elite/G-league route, and intro of NIL you're going to have to get used to any competitive team having a revolving door of players year to year...welcome to the new era of college bball

Exactly. We were Iike middle of the NCAA pack in terms of 2022 transfers out.

It’s a $ bidding war out there now - recruiting has changed - it’s wide out in the open - no longer in the closet.

Our option Bs are a lot better than they once were but it is a little disappointing that we’re onto option Bs after 2 good years in a row and Hurley’s 5th season. Credit to Kimani on securing Castle, where’s recruiting extraordinare Luke Murray?

Bringing in top tier midmajor transfers looking to move up and proven high major guys is a winning strategy though.

I would call this recruiting period more confusing than disappointing. As it seems we shifted interest away from the local guys we had a head start on to guys from all over the country. And contrary to your post, that is indicative of Murray’s influence.
