Decent original commentary, except for this blurb...

but there were glimpses of what could be when the team opened 2010-11 on a 10-game win streak. Mind you, most of those triumphs were blowouts against Vermont, Stony Brook, UMBC, Coppin State and the like, and as soon as the team first suited up against a conference foe is was shocked into reality.

The writer apparently overlooked the stacked Maui Invitational.

We beat Wichita State 83-79, which went on to win the NIT last year.
We beat then #2 Michigan State 70-67, before their season tanked (though they were a 10 seed in the NCAAs).
We dismantled #9 Kentucky, 84-67.
