Four ranked teams, plus a #12 ranked men’s soccer team that made it to the Sweet 16, a #11 ranked field hockey ream that got to the Elite 8, All Americans in track & field and baseball, and a 9 (or 10) win football team. Not bad for a basketball school.

My beloved Big Red can come close, Men's and Women's hockey, women's squash and men's wrestling all in the top 25.

As in Cornell? Kennie Dryden gave me some thrills at Lynah. 2 nat'l championships.

Brian Cropper was in net for the first championship and Dryden was in net when they won the 2nd championship. Both those events were way before I started my career at Cornell.

The brothers of Delta Sigma Phi were delighted when, on a nationally syndicated television show, former Cornell All-American goalie and later professional hockey star Ken Dryden responded to the question, "Was there anything you disliked about college hockey?" with "Yes, that damn bell at Clarkson." I saw the Ken one. Listened to the other. Listening was pure agony no matter how much beer we drank. Ken was a gentle giant and a gentleman through and through, but he knew how to mete out retribution when required with that stick.
