Former Husky linebacker John Dorsey was drafted by the Packers in 1983 in the 4th round (#99). He played five seasons. He was a 4-year starter with the Huskies and played in 76 consecutive non-strike games with the Pack.

He is the current Director of Football Ops with the Packers and is now doing interviews for a GM spot in the NFL.

Wish him luck.

Saw him play many times in the day. Very solid player who drew lots of attention from the other side. Used to just watch him because that's where the action was.

Funny, I took my friend's son to a game and he was having trouble following the ball at first. I told him to look for #3, because he is always where the ball is. Sio Moore quickly became his favorite player and he now wants to play linebacker for UConn.

There was also a lot of action to be seen on Vernon Hargreaves side.

Hope he stays away from the Cardinals (and maybe Jets).

Always felt there were more quality players than given credit for. Thanks for the reminder. Dewey Raymond from BMHS. Lyndon Johnson was 92?

As a Packer fan, I can tell you he will be greatly missed, although I am happy he is getting the opportunity to be a gm.

He was better than "solid", he was the best player in the Conference. Had a mean streak. After a loss UConn at Maine, their QB indulged is some post-game badmouthing. The following year, Dorsey put him out of the game early.

The Kansas City Chiefs have hired John Dorsey to be their new General Manager!!!

And to do everything Andy Reid says.

This should be on the recruiting board.
