Men Former Husky Kevin Vance headed to Arizona Baseball as Pitching Coach

-> Before entering the coaching ranks, Vance enjoyed a successful collegiate and professional playing career. As a two-way star at UConn from 2009-11 he picked up two All-Big East selections and an All-America nod as a junior. Vance's 13 saves in 2011 and 21 career saves still stand as the fifth and second best marks in Huskies history, respectively. <-

Kevin Vance was with the team when I really started following UConn baseball year by year.

Congratulations to Coach Vance.

In other coaching news, Rob Vaughan the former coach at Maryland has accepted the head coaching gig at Alabama replacing fired Brad Bohannon. I'm sure Rob will be making some good coin at Alabama. Matt Swope was announced as the new head baseball coach at Maryland.
