Coach Rowe was an eloquent speaker. In the spring of 1970, St. Paul High School had its end of the year sports banquet. Basketball coach & athletic director Dom Perno reached back to his UConn roots & got Coach Rowe to be the after dinner speaker. Coach briefly reviewed his inaugural season with the Huskies. He then addressed the student athletes on life issues, speaking on character
& daily living matters. Ever the teacher,he left a big impression on a soon to be graduating coachcap & fellow athletes.
