Forever Seats?

Ressurrecting the Forever Seats thread. So how does everyone feel about it now? In a few weeks we'll be getting our "window" for new seat selection.

Well in November it was a ways off. Now it's getting real.

The seats are changing so that's their out on the "forever seats." At the same time, I don't know how you can say they're "forever" knowing that there will inevitably be changes to seating before we're all dead.

“Forever”? I just found out that the T Mobile Magenta plan whose price I was “locked into” without ever price increases would be going up $10 a month.

Yeah very interested to see what the permanent seat layout in the lower bowl looks like and they are allegedly adding cushions to them. Cannot believe there will still be bench seats in the non student sections! Also want to see how close I can get to the ones I had in Gampel. Not too worried about XL, I'm sure we will get very close to where we were previously.

I really like my XL seats, I'm in the best row possible for the price that I pay -- so fully prepared that I'm going to be getting screwed. How screwed will determine if I keep or not.

we're in the same position, love our seat location, plus we have aisle seats which we consider an added bonus.

We love our 4 seats(upper bowl) at Gampel and don’t want to lose them. You wonder where you need to be in selection process and how much to give to get there but no guarantee. It’s worrisome that’s for sure. I wish you got a slot for each venue but you get your slot and pick both venues. Don’t like that.

Based on my experience for Big East Tix, I'd say we're all in for most likely nasty surprise.... Moved up in donor category this year, Have lots and lots and lots of points and my Big East tix were worse this year than last...

I loved mine. I mean the seat itself. Not all seats are the same width at the XL and we found the widest seats in the place. I'm gonna have to start low-carbing again.

They need to move the students court-side. But money talks and them old retired folks will pay whatever it cost to sit in those seats and not stand up or cheer one time all season.

Also, using the term “forever seats” in facilities that you are actively looking to reconfigure is just asking for grief.

I've gone back and forth with how I think this reseat will go. Our ranking is 210 at Gampel and 241 at XL according to the email. Even if we end up with better/same seats it will suck to lose seat neighbors we have become friendly with

I was told by UConn I would have to do two windows - one for each building.

Hartford is a better home court advantage than Gampel despite what the coach and Gampel fans think.
