just worry about the game and not what everyone else is doing.Nice response but you completely missed the point. Next time, I'll type slower so maybe you can keep up.

I know there are casual fans at both venues, but I gotta imagine you would get more at the XL due to ease of access. Gampel is more difficult for many to get to, especially on a week night. And I imagine there usually aren't as many students. Its undisputedly better at Gampel. Half my section doesn't do the standing until we score at XL, despite my words of encourgement.
Undefeated this season in Hartford. But Gampel did have tougher schedule. If this is true, why do you think that's the case? More fans? Haven't been to an XL game in years but will say the crowd sounded great on tv the last couple of games this year.
The students aren't exactly alone in this behavior. And the students are such awesome fans that when football season rolls around, they can't figure out a way to the Rent.
I agree and use the Syracuse and Georgetown games in January of 1990 as examples.Undefeated this season in Hartford. But Gampel did have tougher schedule.
Hartford in big games is much louder.
Is that shown somewhere? If that's the case, it would seem the current sideline seats will be farther from the court, or am I not visualizing it correctly? The court itself is flipping too, likely to accommodate the lower level suite setup, so in theory once you get into the arena it will essentially feel the same.
He missed the pointjust worry about the game and not what everyone else is doing.
I said nah. I've been giving for decades, I'll let the new folks step up. I sit where I sit.Reminder: extra points given per $100 donation made by or before March 31, 2025.
I'm not looking it up so you'll have to fend for yourselves....
we let them keep the covid year seat payment/donation, have always bought and donated bowl tickets, but with them it's what have you done for me lately.I said nah. I've been giving for decades, I'll let the new folks step up. I sit where I sit.
Gampel has less seats so it’s about how much you give rather than how passionate you are.I know there are casual fans at both venues, but I gotta imagine you would get more at the XL due to ease of access. You have the sign up sheet?Class Action. Deceptive Practices.
I don't buy that. Up until this year, there was ample opportunity to get reasonably priced season tickets at Gampel. Prices and seat donation costs are similar at both locations. With the forever seat model, anyone that had season tickets before the back-to-back could not get booted out. With the rules around the upcoming seat selection process, no one with existing seats will get booted out. they might end up with worse seats, but they will have seats.Gampel has less seats so it’s about how much you give rather than how passionate you are.

or whether you live closer to Storrs or HartfordGampel has less seats so it’s about how much you give rather than how passionate you are.
I’ll agree with this. It was rocking in those two games and really that entire season which is why it is still my favorite season despite the ending.I agree and use the Syracuse and Georgetown games in January of 1990 as examples.
The then Civic Center was electric. The lights seemed brighter, the fans louder and time was almost standing still when we blew Georgetown out early. They were stunned......maybe the lights were too bright!
Chief, undefeated at XL since a loss to St. John's on 1/15/23, a winning streak of 2+ seasons!Undefeated this season in Hartford. But Gampel did have tougher schedule.

Yes, tough to argue against that record based upon the “feelings” of Casual Gampel fans.Chief, undefeated at XL since a loss to St. John's on 1/15/23, a winning streak of 2+ seasons!
The data does not support this assertion. Since Covid, UConn is 29-3 at XL and 30-3 at Gampel. In the Hurley era (minus games with no fans and exhibitions), 44-12 at XL and 54-7 at Gampel.Hartford is a better home court advantage than Gampel despite what the coach and Gampel fans think.
neither is relevant without taking into account the strength of the opponents. How's the Quad 1 and Quad 2 records at each venue? The data does not support this assertion. Since Covid, UConn is 29-3 at XL and 30-3 at Gampel. In the Hurley era (minus games with no fans and exhibitions), 44-12 at XL and 54-7 at Gampel.
