Yes, but the club has a martini bar.
Do you like Coldplay too?

Hey, I'm all for a nice stiff dry vodka martini, but that is like ordering fish at a steakhouse. The appropriate libation at a football game is either beer or one of the five major hard spirits (except gin. I hate gin), so long as they are smuggled through the Windbreakers...DUH  !!!!

I personally love the Top of the Rent seats right next to the chairbacks. You're close to the 50 so you get good sight lines and viewing angles with zero obstructions and you can use the fence as a chair back.

Love to hear from the "hard guys" calling out people sitting indoors, meanwhile when the weather turns they're either a no show, leave early, or bundled up in multiple layers, hats, gloves, hand warmers... shivering like, what's the word I'm looking for... oh ya, ;)

To the OP, go with wherever you and your family would get the most out of it. As Waquoit pointed out, the atmosphere (sound and 'feel') of sitting outdoors is definitely less when indoors. If you have young kids tho, it will allow you to sit thru the entire game later in the season and not have to worry about the elements and leaving early. Indoors or outdoors, there's not really a bad seat.

Good advice. Ignore the name calling. Look at all of the empty seats in the blue chair backs when the weather gets cold. We had upper chair back when we first started. Then lower chair back for 4 or 5 years. By the way we were near the top of the lower level o the sunny side behind the UCONN bench. Great site lines plus not a lot of steps to the concourse. Last year, because of the terrible weather in 2014, moved inside. what a Pleasure not to have drunks spilling beer on you and cursing all game long in front of your kids. The buffet is really good. Yes, it can lose some of the game excitement in there, but during the Houston game it was really loud in there as well.

Our seats are in the last row of the lower bowl on the shaded press box side of the stadium. It's great because the seat location gives us "free chair backs" (really a concrete wall, but still good for sitting back, pouting, and watching the final moments of a blowout) and we can stand the whole game without someone asking us to sit down.

Also, for me, I prefer shade. I sat over in the sun for about 10 minutes a few years ago and couldn't see the field because of sun glare right in my eyes (around 2pm late season). It's easier to bundle up if you have the proper layers and warmers. It's much more difficult to stay cool in Sept games (which half of the season is played before end of Sept with OOC home games). That Stony Brook game a few years was flat out miserable in the shade; I couldn't stomach the thought of sitting out in the sun all game.

There isn't a bad seat in the house. Last row of the 200s are still excellent vantage points and you don't feel like you have your head in the clouds like you do at Gillette. It's much more crowded over on UConn's sideline (sunny side) as more people prefer the sun than the shade. If you like to stand and be rowdy, the shaded side gives you more room to breathe.

The 2016 home schedule and our own season outlook are both very promising and the investment will be well worth it. And just think, if any "B1G" announcements are made between now and 2017, you will have first crack at season tickets going forward! :)

:)

I had those in 2003, and was glad I moved down a hair.... When the cold wind whips through it was hard to be there. Down a few rows and that wind blows overhead. ;)

Yup, when we sit, there is no wind. When we stand, it hits us in the face. But it's okay, I always wear layers...even in late October coolish games. Gamedays are a marathon, not a sprint!

Sports bars get loud, too.

Might be a stupid question, but I recently moved back to the east coast and was trying to figure out when season tix are on sale...

UPDATE: We just got the email for renewing season tickets. The first deadline is March 31 so I expect sales for new ticket holders to be shortly after that.

Just want to thank everyone for their help. I called today and took 4 seats in 117 row 16 ( I think 16 or maybe 15) and a blue lot PP.
Let's Go Huskies!!
Good choice, you will sit with current and former athletes, coaches etc. Shades and ball caps required. September will be warm but you will feel better about the seats later in the season. Current families are next door in 118, usually the best attended section in the stadium.
